Week 4 · Compound · Day 24 of 30
The pace conversation

- Pace check

Today's intent (planned)
Read the last 14 days of your aim honestly and choose a plan you can keep, with release on the table.
The practice
- Set today's look-for in
reality/log/<today>.md. - Count the last 14 days: planned reps (your reps per week, times two) and
repentries withBridge: <slug>; bold moves done, and any past their date. On pace means at least 80 percent of planned reps and nothing overdue. Behind means at least half, with at most one overdue move. Below that: not enough for the date. - Ask, one at a time: would a smaller rep help? An environment change? A person to do it with? A new date?
- If the date has passed or every move is done, ask: achieved, extend, or release? Release is information, not defeat.
- Change one thing only. Write it in
reality/aims/<slug>.md(Studio: Bridges), with a## Is it enough? (computed <today>)heading and the numbers under it. With the plugin,reality-loopwalkspaceand proposes the edit before writing it.
Why it works
Meaning
This is a conversation, not a trial. You can ask your plan what it needs, the way you would ask a tired friend. Some aims deserve more of you; some need a different shape; some have finished teaching you. Choosing among them is part of the practice.
Mechanism
When reps slip, size, cue and friction are the parts you can change, and changing one at a time shows which mattered. If-then plans and stable cues help you start and stay on track. They do not create motivation for an aim you no longer hold, which is why release stays on the table. The numbers describe the plan, never you.
