← The Imaginal Act, thirty days

Week 3 · Witness · Day 21 of 30

Three weeks, counted

Today's intent (planned)

Seal your third weekly snapshot, with an honest tally of every look-for since day 5.

The practice

  1. Set today's look-for in reality/log/<today>.md.
  2. Count the week since day 14: entries by kind, signs primed and unprimed, look-fors set, came and missed, and pace for your aim as on day 14.
  3. Then count every look-for since day 5: set, came, missed, not marked. Which kinds of look-for came often? Which never came?
  4. Answer the four questions: true now, what changed, grateful for, one correction.
  5. If it is true for you, seal it in reality/snapshots/<today>.md (Studio: Timeline) with cadence: weekly and period: <day 15> → <today>, in the same shape as day 7. Add the look-for totals since day 5 under ## Reflection. With the plugin, reality-loop walks weekly and seals only after your yes.

Why it works

Meaning

These weeks of honest notes are a portrait of what you pay attention to. Look at it with curiosity. If your signs gather around a theme, that may mean something to you. You are free to name it in the reflection, as your meaning.

Mechanism

The tally records your attention, not the world's replies. Look-fors that came often are things your days already hold, or things you have learned to see. Look-fors that never came tell you how specific or likely they were. A tally of hits alone would prove nothing, because it could not have come out any other way. Expectation shapes what you perceive; that is the layer this measures.

Tonight (reported)

Add an entry at the top of reality/witness.md, headed ### <today> <time> · lesson or the kind that is truest (Studio: Witness):

  • Happened (fact): One number from the tally that surprised you.
  • Meant (my meaning): What it means to you.
  • Did (action): Only what is done: the snapshot, if sealed.
  • Next (planned): One change to how you choose look-fors.
  • Did it come? In the log: - Did it come: yes, no or not marked.
